Major Purpose:


  • As a CI Project Management Engineer for John Deere Power Systems located in Torreón, Coahuila you will.
  • Develops project schedule and coordinates the activities for small, less complex product improvement projects using the Scaled Process Delivery or Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) methodologies, with input from functional groups.
  • Leads small crossfunctional teams and facilitates work assignments.
  • Develops and executes action plans to resolve issues and achieve project objectives on time and within budget for small and complex projects.
  • Monitors ongoing project/program status and maintains communications with business unit leadership and affected stakeholders.
  • Works with managers to obtain required resources to accomplish the project objectives.
  • Develops, maintains, and presents project phase reviews, status reports, project health metrics, and lessons learned with the management and others as appropriate.
  • Provides day to day work direction related to accomplish the project plans.

What Skills Do You Need:


  • 2 or more years experience leading manufacturing/engineering product development/changes projects.
  • 2 or more years experience leveraging excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate project information across multiple sites, including top management, and drive results.
  • 2 or more years of manufacturing, quality and/or product engineering experience.
  • 1 or more years experience with problem solving methodologies.
  • Understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong prioritization and ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to business plan adjustments

What Makes You Stand Out:


  • Experience in Process/Manufacturing area.
  • Project management experience leading international multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).
  • Proven strong collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience working with global engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Problem Solving, Design for Six Sigma and/or Six Sigma Experience.
