    Are you looking to take part in a Procurement transformation at the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of hospital supplies? We are looking for a results driven Procurement category leader with a passion for driving value, who wants to join our company mission to save and sustain lives.

    The team member in this role will be responsible for supporting our HR Services and Professional Services categories globally, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Consulting, Contingent Labor, Financial & Audit Services within Baxter's Indirect Procurement team.

    This position will be responsible for leading and supporting procurement excellence and driving best value for the categories under management, with key focus on cost, quality, and service. This role involves project management across several functions, business units and global sites and collaborating closely with business partners at the senior level to define priorities, establish strategic and tactical objectives, support the development of a multi-year category roadmap ensuring accurate alignment of requirements and supply base. Additionally, the leader in this role will continuously and proactively investigate new suppliers/technologies as inputs into our value funnel, supporting our organizational goals while helping to improve patient outcomes.

    What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with internal partners and use these relationships to support the implementation of category strategies, pipeline items and short/medium/long-term goals to support the ongoing delivery of value pipeline.
  • Perform in depth spend analysis and market analysis on targeted areas of spend.
  • Support your Manager or Sr Manager in the development and execution of annual savings plans.
  • Develop RFI/RFPs and lead negotiations for key spend areas to achieve short-term and long-term savings targets.
  • Register the projects pipeline in the appropriate sourcing tools and provide regular reporting as to their status and expected benefits.
  • Lead and support the supplier selection, risk assessment and contract negotiation process for key projects as assigned by the Manager or Sr Manager.
  • Ensure that appropriate Supplier Relationship Management programs are in place for strategic and critical suppliers in the concerned categories of spend.
  • Provide regular progress updates to direct leader and to key internal partners on assigned projects and categories under management.
  • Stimulate and support innovation by using the supplier base, regularly reviewing market developments, and mobilizing the appropriate internal network.
  • What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas required.
  • Intermediate or advanced English
  • Minimum 2 years of category procurement experience. With multinational organizations a plus.
  • Experience in people, stakeholder, and project management.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.
  • Strong analytic and intermediate negotiation skills.
  • Business sense and ability to develop critical thinking.
  • Some experience in contracting includes but not be limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
  • Understanding of Procurement process, pricing models and contracts terms.
  • Solid understanding of the Procurement process.
