Job Description:


OEM ACCOUNT MANAGER


The Account Manager - OEM is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and plans to acquire new business for assigned solutions and services for Heavy Industry Business.

The primary goal is to meet or exceed annual sales targets and grow market share. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships at assigned accounts and working with Distributors to optimize resource utilization. AM is responsible to maximize sales portfolio with customers and give directions to Company to exceed customers expectations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Account Strategy: Own and communicate the account strategy to internal teams at Rockwell on an accountbyaccount basis as needed.
  • Customer Relationships: Build executivelevel relationships with the customer base, understanding their processes, drivers, and business models.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with solutions and channel component sales management, as well as distributor organizations.
  • Opportunity Qualification and Solution Design coordination: Qualify customer opportunities, engage the appropriate resources, coordinate solution designs, and present compelling value propositions to customers. Organize and manage technical engagement teams for identified opportunities, integrating competitive data and strategy into proposals.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Maintain an accurate assessment of target and opportunity funnel within the Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Contract Negotiations: Collaborate with the corporate Contracts and Negotiations group to establish favorable terms and conditions (T&Cs), pricing, discounts, and allowances through distributors.
  • Opportunity Planning: Engage the Rockwell Automation account team and senior management, as required, to strategize and win opportunities.

Support customer/internal program reviews and contribute to the development of district-level Market Focus Plans.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Additional businessrelated degree/experience preferred.
  • 5 or more years of successful sales experience in technical sales, distributor, integrator, or engineering firm,
  • Experience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant customer, including VPs, plant engineers, and OEM machines builder focused on Heavy Industries
  • Ability for local travel greater than 50% of the time.
