Position Overview

We are seeking a Java Fullstack SWAT Engineer (L2 Application Support) to join a specialized SWAT Team focused on resolving complex, high-impact application incidents.

This role combines strong development skills with deep analytical capabilities, code analysis, and observability expertise to diagnose issues at scale and ensure system stability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly analytical, and excels at identifying root causes and delivering effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 application support for complex and high-impact production incidents.
• Perform in-depth code analysis in Java and JavaScript applications.
• Diagnose issues through advanced log analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
• Support web-based and microservices architectures.
• Interact with databases and enterprise platforms, including Edify.
• Utilize observability and performance monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, StartFleet, Akamai, and Pitstop.
• Document findings, root causes, and resolutions in Jira and Confluence.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
• Communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure operational stability, quality, and adherence to SLAs and resolution timelines.

Qualifications

Must Have

• Proven experience providing L2 application support.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and JavaScript development.
• Experience working with microservices architectures.
• Strong ability to analyze and understand application code.
• Advanced skills in log reading and interpretation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for incident investigation.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise infrastructure concepts.
• Solid understanding of software and web architecture.
• Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and track tasks effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, StartFleet, Akamai, or Pitstop.
• Knowledge or experience with the EDIFY platform.
• Experience working in financial or banking environments.
• Experience collaborating closely with development or architecture teams.
• Understanding of complex business process flows.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Background in regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
