- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a resilient supply chain and high supplier performance, resolving issues and supervising performance
- Align with US Indirect Sourcing to develop and implement long-term strategies for assigned Indirect categories to lower total cost of ownership
- Lead negotiation of supply and service agreements that are in line with nVent business strategies
- Reinforce the company's continuous improvement culture that promotes communication, shared learning, intelligent risk-taking, creative problem solving, and accountability
- Team with site functional leaders to lead and mitigate supplier risk, select and develop new suppliers, and categorize existing suppliers with lifecycle strategy
- Acts independently to identify and develop improvement opportunities for assigned categories
- Resolve all supplier related issues such as supply shortages, price increases, invoice and payment issues, etc
- Perform detailed supply market analysis related to categories, industries, and suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 3+ years' experience in Indirect Procurement/Strategic Sourcing/Category Management in a manufacturing environment
- Excellence in contract negotiation and management including drafting, redlining, and ensuring adherence to contract service level agreements (SLAs)
- Project management skills to develop plans with action steps and timetables, meet deadlines, coordinate with cross functional teams, and handle multiple priorities
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances; must be able to thrive in a constantly changing business environment
- Proficiency in building and maintaining effective work relationships at all levels both internally and externally (customers, suppliers, etc.)
- Strong presentation, time management, organizational and influence skills
