The ITAD (Information Technology Asset disposition) operations team in the WW Returns and Takeback Operations organization, is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the process of securing data, refurbishing and recycling devices, reselling and recovery devices of used HP and Non

  • HP products. We manage our programs and processes on a daytoday basis to ensure they meet HP's legal and environmental obligations, quality, cost goals, and the needs of our customers. We are also responsible for developing and driving plans for continuous improvement, reengineering our network and processes, and selecting the best suppliers and partners in the market to work with.


The ITAD Operations Manager's main responsibilities will be to lead the global team of Supply Chain professionals who manage the ITAD customer facing program and E2E quote for buying used devices.

You will set the vision and drive business model strategies that enable market access and enhance the perception of HP products in the secondhand market.

You will drive and lead the continuous improvement of the processes and system to exceed customer expectations and drive business success for HP.

You will need to be comfortable with both strategic and tactical focus areas while coaching your employees towards success.

You will evaluate and analyze regulatory and home & office customer insights that can inform future product and business model designs and influence business partners to act and make investments.


Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the primary voice for ITAD Operations with Renew Leadership.
  • Shape business model, technology development and customer value proposition evolution.
  • Engage with customers, sales and channel partners to differentiate HP ITAD
  • Ensure that safe, legally compliant asset disposition and costeffectively deliver on customer value proposition in our markets.
  • Lead and support the development and improvement of ITAD Operations processes and tools, establishing new capabilities and driving continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of team operations.
  • Inspire the team to work across complex and ambiguous frameworks that might impact product design or market access and develop insights to influence GBU and Sales partners.
  • Ensure program and project discipline is in place to execute team and Department initiatives.
  • Bring calm to periods of escalation and tension.
  • Manage ambiguity; put it to work for the better of HP.
Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.


Responsibilities:

Accountable for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management.
Manages a team of exempt individual contributors.

Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.

Plans, directs and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' work may involve strategic issues.
Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a limited scope.
Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility.


Education and Experience Required:

First level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree.
Typically 8+ years of experience in a supply chain or related function.
Typically 0-2 years of people management experience.


Knowledge and Skills:

Advanced understanding of demand and supply planning processes and strategy.
Excellent analytical and data modelling skills
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.
Excellent communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
Strong business acumen.
Sound understanding of HP's policies and processes.
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
