Your key responsibilities


The Managed Solutions' Client Data Analyst (DA) role engages stakeholders to understand client data requirements and is responsible for configurations used to process the client's data as it relates to the acquisition and integration into MSCI's analytical platforms.

The DA will engage in the following activities related to client data:


  • Acquisition
  • Collaborate with the client implementation teams to evaluate efficacy of client's data given the required usecases
  • Interface with the data onboarding team regarding data mapping and standardization
  • Perform provider, feed, and client workflow configurations
  • Modeling
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to determine if MSCI modelling capabilities are fit for client's usecases
  • Collaborate with modelling and development teams on asset modelling development
  • Interface with the client data platform team regarding functionality and features of our technology
  • Validation
  • Review output: functional modeling per asset class
  • Reconciliation of raw versus integrated/modeled data
  • Contribute to the team's data quality assurance/diagnostics library
  • Services
  • Transition to ongoing service delivery team
  • Advise ongoing delivery team on enhancements of existing clients' data processing configurations
  • Learn and then enhance team's standard operating procedures/best practices

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Investment Finance, Engineering, Information Technology; degree in financial investment data analytics/data science a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, JAVA, Groovy, or Git.
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile project development practices is a plus.
  • 12 years of relevant work experience (including internships).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multilingual: excellent English speaking/writing skills required to engage with a global team and clients.
  • Strong analytic, quantitative, and problemsolving skills. Solid analytical background is desired.
  • Driven by working in an environment that combines investment finance and technology
  • Certifications such as CFA or FRM will be an added advantage.
