Charger Logistics Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Safety Driver Trainer to join our team in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide support and training to drivers. The individual in this role will work in a fast-paced environment and will work closely with the security and compliance department.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the driver recruitment process and constantly maintains a pool of potential candidates. Search, recruit, screen, and interview (by phone and in person) experienced driver candidates through cold calling, email, computer databases, and Internet hiring resources.
• Cultivate and maintain a positive culture, quality performance, a safe environment, and a positive and professional driving experience
• Know the local labor market, processes and policies related to drivers.
• Help qualified candidates complete their job applications and ensure the candidate submits all necessary documentation.
• Manage driver hours to minimize overtime while maintaining established customer service and delivery metrics
• Conduct background checks, conduct road tests for drivers, and provide them with proper training as needed.
• Ensures compliance with all company, customer, OSHA and DOT regulations, policies and procedures.
• Conduct, review, and document facility safety inspections and assist in the correction of deficiencies.
• Investigates vehicle accidents and employee injuries. Prepares and submits related reports as required.
• Develop local accident and injury prevention plans and programs.
• Schedules and presents training/orientation programs. Holds monthly employee/driver safety meetings.

Requirements

• Experience in driver training, contracting, and safety and compliance is a plus.
• Safety driven with expertise in HOS, DOT regulations and driver welfare
• You must have a solid understanding of the transportation industry.
• Previous experience recruiting US/CANADA drivers
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
