Basic Function:


Central Planner integrates and synchronizes supply and demand requirements with manufacturing and supply chain capacity into an optimal economic operating plan for use by Manufacturing, Raw Material Supply, Supply Chain, Sales and Commercial Management to maximize variable margins for the assigned business area.

Also manages coordinates production and fulfillment functions to meet customer requirements; as well as those of the inventory planners* (RDC) and account specialists.

Ensures production is transferred to supply points to meet customer demands* and communicates production issues to distribution centers. The goal is to provide product delivery support to the customer in the most cost effective manner possible. Import transactions and forecasts from other global regions may also be required.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Implements and tracks shortterm customer demand plan utilized by Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Raw Material Supply, Business and Marketing to efficiently meet assigned business objectives.
  • Reviews Sales Forecasts in IBP (regularly updating information); as well as production plans in advance; to develop and track manufacturing sequences in (SAP
  • ERP-APO) achieving proper inventory planning according to the Business; and in some cases, appropriate modes of transportation* (e.g. Rail Equipment).
  • Generate the production plan based on the MPS (SAP-ERPAPO) and balances the workload by production line.
  • Updates availability dates to existing sales orders (FIORI),
  • Responds in a timely manner to customer demand (new / changing) and raw material supply issues that could affect production.
  • Manages customer "Make to Order" requests by scheduling manufacturing date.
  • Communicates effectively with the business team, regarding material production, inventory availability and slowmoving inventory.
  • Identifies key demand and supply risks; develops / implements contingency plans.
  • Tracks metrics (Days on Hand, Inventory Levels, Line Occupancy & Usage, Slow Moving Material Inventory, etc.)
  • Manages optimal load and challenges customer needs through Marketing*.
  • Continuous improvement using different tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • Detection and tracking of extraordinary demands via escalation and/or logbook (SPO)
  • Entry and creation of batch numbers to manufacturing orders*.
  • Follow up on preauthorization of HCOA and Moisture Waiver*.
  • Actively participates in SIOP meetings (Sales and Operations) and Commercial meetings

Min Qualifications:


  • Minimum verifiable experience of at least 4 years in: Planning areas,

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Work experience in Supply Chain & SIOP areas.


  • Proven ERP

  • MRP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Excellent communication skills in all functional areas to ensure understanding, alignment and synchronization of the operational plan.

Education
Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, bachelor's degree in Administration.
