    Job Overview

    TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle.

    They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.

    The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements.

    They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team.

    They also monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

    Requirements

    Education: Industrial Engineer, Business Management Engineer, Bachelor of Commerce.

    Experience: 3-5 years in the position.

    Skills: English proficiency, SAP knowledge, Microsoft Office (Good level of Excel), VSM, Problem solving tools (5 why's/ root cause, 8D's, Ishikawa, etc.)

    Responsibilities

    1. Analyzes planned sales order requirements suggested by MRP.
    2. Releases finished product for shipment.
    3. Calls for creation and release of production orders.
    4. Coordinates with Customer Service to establish agreements and ensure on-time delivery.
    5. Monitors production plan compliance.
    6. Makes changes in planning by executing exception messages in SAP system.
    7. Reviews material availability in the short term.
    8. Participates in regular meetings to discuss results.
    9. Plans and manages inventory levels of parts manufactured in the plant - taking into account flow and space constraints.
    10. Collaborates with different departments related to the supply chain.
    11. Serves as the focal point for priority setting with warehousing, manufacturing, and production.
    12. Maintains optimal inventory stock for the production plan.
    13. Confirms scheduled material pickups.
    14. Performs demand and capacity analysis.
    15. Completes assignments in RTS (Request Tracking system).
    16. Calls for creation of purchase orders based on exception messages in SAP system, taking into account last purchases of materials for FAI requirement analysis.
    17. Reviews short reports.
    18. Communicates with suppliers to establish agreements and coordinate on-time delivery.
