ABOUT THE ROLE
Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in Transportation, Supply Chain, or logistics.
Our specialists will manage transportation functions to ensure accurate contact with carrier to obtain status of load-tendered; continue monitoring the shipment for on-time pick-up, transit, delivered and empty while providing excellent customer service to our customers.
WHAT THE CANDIDATE WILL DO
- Additional Responsibilities Regarding Customer and Carrier Relationships.
- Appointment Scheduling/Schedule appointments with shipper and/or receiver, update the TMS as needed and communicate with Logistics Specialist.
- Communicate any service issues to customer and team.
- Identify and update status on which carrier missed delivery; provide sufficient comments for communication to customer.
- Monitor and trouble shoot any problems to ensure on time service.
- Proactively notify Shipper and/or Receiver of Load Status and reschedule pickup/delivery appointments when necessary.
- Update load status in system, e.g., loaded, pickup, delivery, empty, etc.
- Update TMS with notes with any issues that may occur.
- Utilize TMS to actively manage ontime performance and meet customer KPIs
- Be able to follow the US holiday schedule and support a customer based on US EST time zone
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 Years of customer service experience
- Basic Math (Includes aptitude to learn how to calculate mileage as it relates to the passage of time).
- Fluent English, must be able to read, write and speak clearly in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Freight Industry
- Microsoft Excel— basic usage, formatting tables, trivial calculations
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience with US based customer or company
