    In this position you will provide leadership to the A&D Mexicali team to establish a world class facility and competitive organization supporting global business requirements.

    This BU is a manufacturing operation of 200 employees' part of our Rosemount Division. As Director you will be responsible for managing all aspects of moderately complex manufacturing operations. Responsible to deliver results that meet safety, quality, customer service, and cost criteria.

    Drives the site towards achieving Sales and Profitability goals while ensuring a safe work environment and continually improving performance to KPI's.

    As a shelter manufacturing operation, this position has responsibilities to meet Emerson legal entity (in the site) internal control and procedures on trade compliance, accounting, purchasing, HR, Payroll, EHS, OEA/C-TPAT certifications.


    Main activities:

    • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Develop a safety culture by leading by example, driving the safety management system and effective management of safety metrics and initiatives.
    • Set, monitor, control and achieve performance of the plant against targets in areas such as manufacturing efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, human resources management, quality, and environment.
    • Directly responsible for setting an accurate forecast and delivering on it
    • Drive delivery performance and lead time improvements.
    • Responsible for managing and achieving Mexicali site P&L targets.
    • Communicate with employees on business conditions and resolve problems in the organization by balancing business and employees' needs.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (MBA preferred). 7 years relevant experience, preferably in a Manufacturing operations or supply chain environment, managing multi-discipline and/or multi-location teams. Knowledge of LEAN, continuous improvement, and statistical process control are beneficial. Experience with Oracle manufacturing a plus. Requires strategic agility and strong business acumen. Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and processes with demonstrated leadership in managing production, backlog, and on-time delivery to customer request. Knowledge of manufacturing systems and technology, manufacturing resource planning, and materials management required. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments. Fluent and effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
