_Highlight the main responsibilities _

May be specialized in a specific area of expertise (Internal or external flows, receiving/shipping, warehouses.)

Contribute to the design, implementation and improvement of the internal flows:


  • Analyze material flows and scheduling processes to accelerate the physical flows.

Support the design, development, and/or improvement of tools, equipment, packaging, and/or flow organization for an assigned area.
-
Provide technical support for specific plant operations (Layout, new project, value stream analysis...).
-
Troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to maintain the continuity of the production flow.

Design flow processes within schedules and budget parameters.
-
Monitor and debug new methods and procedures.
-
Support activities to achieve and maintain the Quality System and Valeo 5000.
-
Actively participate in and support the implementation of the Valeo Production System (VPS).

Contribute to the design, implementation and improvement of the external flows:


  • Analyze flows of materials, inventory and scheduling processes to accelerate the physical flows.
-
Propose, evaluate, direct the design, development, and/or improvement of tools, equipment, and/or transportation/storage processes for an assigned area.
-
Implement, control and manage the visual reorder system and or pull flow system.
-
Provide technical support for specific plant operations (Layout, new project, value stream analysis...).
-
Design transportation processes within timeframe and budget parameters.
-
Support activities to achieve and maintain the Quality Standards and the safety standards.
-
Actively participate in and support the implementation of the Valeo Production System (VPS).

Contribute the budget and costs reduction plan and follow up of the external flows activities:


  • Participate in negotiation with carriers companies in coordination with Purchasing
-
Propose logistics protocols with suppliers in co-operation with Supply Chain schedulers and Purchasing.

Meet the Carriers contacts on a regular basis (once a quarter at least).
-
Provide data for transportation indicators and analysis for follow up costs and budget building.
-
Measure the costs of transportation for each inbound and outbound flow. Propose action plans to reduce the costs.

Troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to maintain the continuity of the production flows:


  • On a regular basis, communicate complete, precise & reliable information to the carriers contacts. Adapt the chosen method of communication to the level of the carriers contact.

Alert material and production control in the event of a crisis, to define priorities with the carriers & internally (management, supply chain team), follow the evolution of any associated action plans. If necessary, escalate.

Make sure that there is a backup for each carrier & train the backup on the way to manage the carriers' account; ensure that during holidays the position is covered & that carriers are notified in advance of the absence and informed of the person that will be temporarily managing the carriers' account.

Education:
Engineering school or equivalent (Industrial Mechanics or similar)**
Experience:1 or 2 Years in Supply Chain Management**
