Renewable Energy Project Development Manager - Saltillo, México - CEMEX
Descripción
Development and Operations of Solar and wind (renewable) projects.- Execute Interconnections permits with CRE, CENACE and CFE or similar in other locations abroad Mexico.
- Execution of Environmental and federal permits.
- Administration/Management of Project Administration Agreements (PAA).
- Administration/Management of MOMA contracts
- Follow up of construction teams on site.
- Integrate all region capex's and update it in scope2 road map.
- Execute large project above 15 million USD (Project team integration and execution)
- Monitor projects between 515 million USD in all CEMEX Region.
- Manage and follow up land acquisition for right of ways and land control required to install the projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execution & follow up of SCOPE2 Capex
- Feasibility studies for solar farms and wind projects or any renewable technology applied to CEMEX operations to reduce electricity costs.
- Execute basic and detailed engineering with third parties for step up electrical substations and switching electrical substations.
- Execute electrical substation interconnection permits.
- Obtain and execute environmental and federal permits (Solar and wind projects)
- Top management presentation
- Progress updates / monthly reports for each SCOPE2 pipeline.
- Travel to site project locations for monthly follow up meetings.
- Support land control and acquisition for each project.
- Project Administration Agreements management with third parties.
Position Challenges:
- Follow up and CAPEX execution based on SCOPE2 pipeline.
- Several projects / activities are executed in parallel.
- Global coverage for renewable capex.
- Support and present business case for capex approval on behalf or support of CX Operations with strategic planning areas, top management and/or country cement operations.
Qualifications:
- Languages: English proficiency.
- Engineering degree and master's degrees as MBA or Science in sustainability or renewable energy.
- Areas of expertise 8 years' experience in electrical markets related to the Development of renewable projects.
- 5+ years' experience in Project Administration Contract Agreements (PAA ́s and MOMA/Maintenance agreements)
- 8+ years developing renewable projects (solar and/or wind projects)
- Proven experience leading team projects.
- Technical Skills required by role.
- Knowledge of Wind turbines equipment and suppliers
- Knowledge of solar panels & batteries equipment and market vendors
- Build and support technical comparative tables.
- Soft Skills
- Multifunctional and multicultural skills / experience, management, presentation skills, public speaking, selfmotivated. Target oriented
Internal/External Relations:
INTERNAL
- Strategic planning, energy commercial areas, engineering & construction, Cement operations, procurement, energy administration and budget control, central and regional VPs of T&O.
EXTERNAL
- Wind turbines and solar panels (& Batteries) vendors, engineering and construction firms, government institutions, environmental firms, ̈_Ejidos y comisariados_ ̈ for land control.
