Principal Accountabilites:

Responsible for processing/managing purchase orders and contracts, leadtime reduction, resolving chronic supplier delivery issues, and resolving discrepant material issues.
Ensure suppliers are paid within terms, monitor price, cost, Intellectual Property and conformance to legal agreements.
Provides leadership for sourcing, logistics and resource management decisions working closely with other functional disciplines within the Customer Service, PSO, and TMO organizations.
Demonstrates leadership in recognizing the potential for cost and inventory reductions, and quality improvements.
Maintain system data and documentation that supports the purchasing processes, SOX, and ISO.
Maintain data accuracy in the BAAN system (e.g., ensure cost information accuracy, part setup, lot sizes, etc).
Reviews and reports supplier delivery performance
Participates on Six Sigma project teams and Supplier Improvement projects

Qualifications:

Requires Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) preferably in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing Technology with minimum 3 years experience in related professional field
Experience with technical buying in a manufacturing environment is required.
Effective written and oral communication skills in English is required
Must have Computer literacy skills in: MS Office (especially Excel), Visio, MS Project, and BAAN required
Knowledge of Baan and Windchill (ERP and PDM) preferred
Experience in procuring Electrical/electronic commodities preferred
APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification is preferred
Six Sigma experience or awareness is preferred
