    This key position at AutoZone is responsible for effectively managing, auditing, and processing transportation vendors' invoices for both distribution centers. The primary goal is to enable Accounts Payables to program timely payments for services rendered, while also ensuring that accrued expenses are reported accurately during period closings.

    The incumbent will oversee the payment process for transportation services used, receiving vendor invoices and cross-checking them with SCA shipments reports to create vouchers. This involves verifying that all loads were delivered according to plan and at approved rates.

    ">

    As a bridge between financial results and operational performance, this role requires quick adjustments to meet objectives and adapt the budget to accommodate operational constraints.

    ">

    Key responsibilities include performing and sharing accruals with the Finance Business Partner during period closing, guaranteeing accurate information in profit-and-loss (P&L) reporting, and updating various freight cost reports.

    ">

    To prevent incorrect charges or payments, the incumbent will follow up on accounts payable processes until payment is complete, report settled invoices to vendors, and request periodic invoice statements from vendors (e.g., quarterly or semi-annually). Additionally, they will request signatures on non-debt formats if there are no pending invoices to settle.

    Regularly updated freight cost reports will inform decision-making processes aimed at achieving budget targets.
