Job Summary

The
_Senior Presales Mechanical Engineer HVAC _is a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Solutions Specialist, a crucial member of the Integrated Modular Solutions team during the early engagement phases of customer programs.

The position will require competencies in HVAC but also structural, mechanical, electromechanical, controls and associated disciplines required to provide system level solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents
Reading and understanding customer requirements provided by SA and sales team
Concept design of HVAC architecture and equipment
Understanding of relevant codes and standards for HVAC equipment and installations
CAD Modeling
Coordination with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, controls, fire protection)
Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers
Making technical proposals for Vertiv modular solutions data centers
Providing HVAC design documents
Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions
Support SA and sales team

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
At least 5 years' experience in similar type role
Proficient in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system design
Good CAD capabilities including the ability to represent layouts and HVAC schematic diagrams, as well as specifics of custom HVAC subsystems associated with electrical power supply, cooling, and mechanical devices
Knowledge of CFD tools and modeling
Solutionbased thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Mechanical and Electrical components to an endcustomer deployment
Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to deployment PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD
