Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Center of Excellence Classification Supervisor.



What you will do:
  • Lead and execute the Free Trade Agreements strategy aligned with the global GTM preference and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide analytical and tactical strategies to leverage Free Trade Agreements benefits to identify Cost Out and Cost Avoidance opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Eaton Businesses, Stakeholders, and internal/external customers to ensure high expectations are met.
  • Manage Pre and Post Entry activities to ensure Compliance and FTA Refunds.
  • Develop internal procedures, Handbooks and Work Instructions covering Qualification Determination, Cost Out and Cost Avoidance Determination, Compliance metrics, Software Solutions, and more.
  • Create appropriate trade metrics and strategic/tactical KPI's for real-time data to support decision-making and opportunities identification.

Staff management including:
  • Staffing
  • Career development

  • Organizational development

  • Create strategies to identify Compliance issues and develop corrective action plans.
  • Support the roll-out strategies for global CoE implementation and smooth transition projects.

Qualifications:

Education level required:
  • Bachelor's degree required

Years and area of experience required:
  • Eight to ten years of experience managing special trade programs to achieve significant savings in operational processes or economic impact. Experience in Trade Compliance Teams like Center of excellence, Competency Centers, Shared Services to ensure compliance in import regulations, corporate policies, and best management practices.

Technical knowledge:
  • Proficient in preferential treaties and classification matters
  • Strong knowledge in global FTAs, such as USMCA, KORUS, US-AUS, EU-MX, CAFTA, etc.
  • Strong Management skills, Supplier Negotiation, and Customer Service-oriented
  • Managerial experience preferred
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Strong Project Management skills, customer focus
  • SAP GTS Experience preferred
  • Compliance and results oriented
  • Advanced English Level

Soft skills:
  • Strong leadership and technical skills for building high-performance teams, setting vision and mission, coaching, and mentoring to effectively communicate, delegate, and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Change agent and team player. Proven success in collaborating across a global matrix organization to drive change.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, team-building ability, managing interdisciplinary projects, decision-making, time and resource management, project prioritization, and developing team strategies.
