Position overview:

You are responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all Trade Compliance requirements for the SGRE LATAM Region in line with SGRE's New Operating Model.

How to contribute to our vision

  • You support the implementation of global and local ECC tools and processes in LATAM within the New SGRE Constitution.
  • You support and monitor the implementation of digital customs solutions in LATAM as applicable
  • As direct team lead you manage the country ECC leads in LATAM
  • You support and facilitate the SGRE integration into Siemens Energy for export control and customs in the LATAM region
  • You develop local Internal Control Programs (ICPs) as required based on SGRE's Constitution, Export Control and Customs mandates, minimum requirements, and global standards
  • You are the escalation and governance contact for the local operational customs teams and cooperate with SGRE ́s global partners (e.g. customs brokers)
  • You support ECC communication and training tailored to the respective audience and conduct training sessions
  • You are responsible to collect and communicate information on relevant national export control and customs legislation in LATAM
  • Together with the central ECC functions you identify and analyze local and global export control and customs related risks in business processes and support implementation of appropriate mitigation measures
  • You implement and upgrade the Authorized Economic Operator status in affected LATAM countries and introduce simplified export control and customs procedures when applicable and beneficial
  • You are the coordinator between central ECC functions and SGRE ́s different Business Units in LATAM to support all their business relevant global bordercrossing projects
  • You support SGREs project planning and execution in LATAM countries for ECC topics
  • You are the contact person for external and internal customs and export control audits and coordinate all activities with support of the central ECC functions
  • You are LATAM Customs reporting responsible, ensuring all LATAM risks, potential risks and customs audit status are reported monthly and/or adhoc as needed to ECC Global Reporting Subject Matter Expert
What you need to make a difference

  • You have a degree in the field of economics, law, customs, taxes or equivalent senior working experience
  • You have a sound understanding foreign trade compliance, and commercial regulatory landscapes in LATAM
  • You have professional experience in Trade Compliance, Compliance Regulatory or Consulting in the area.
  • You have a min 15+ years of experience in a Management position.
  • You have advanced knowledge of business process and a deep understanding of project business, preferably in the wind power industry
  • You are familiar with the development and implementation of strategies, new policies, concepts, IT tools and processes
  • Your English skills are business fluent, preferably you have working experience in different LATAM countries
  • Additional languages including Mandarin, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean are a plus
  • Assertiveness, customer orientation as well as communication and moderation skills characterize your personality, with extensive experience in Stakeholder management
  • You are able to see the opportunities in changing environments and are willing to drive change forward
  • Willingness to travel as required up to 20%
