About the Role


We are seeking to hire a rising communications practitioner to join FTI Strategic Communications' growing Mexico team as a Senior Consultant.

For that role, you should have a proven ability to both service client companies on a day-to-day basis and contribute to new business and firm development initiatives.

You should also have a strong interest in developing a strategic approach to communications, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and an ability to help manage more junior team members.

You should be proactive, results-oriented and prepared to learn and use new approaches to communications as part of a leading global communications consultancy business.

We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including corporate reputation, crisis communications, financial communications, and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.


What You'll Do

Client Delivery

  • Play an important role in the daytoday tactical program management of multiple client accounts, working with team members to create highquality, clientready deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
  • Consistently seek ways to improve client service
  • Write and edit a variety of materials for clients (e.g., strategy memos and plans, press releases, Q&As, media pitches, web content, social media content, etc.)
  • Master understanding of client information, including business strategy, services, stakeholders and competitive landscape
  • Assist with ongoing program measurement and progress report development
  • Support billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client invoices

Business Development

  • Maintain solid relationships with clients and identify emerging opportunities to add more value
  • Develop plans for business development, with particular emphasis on driving new business efforts
  • Participate in new business pursuits, which could include conducting research, developing proposals and pitching FTI's services
  • Support the development, production and marketing of thought leadership surrounding emerging trends and issues

Team development

  • Demonstrate a willingness to take responsibility for outcomes and to assist others when needed
  • Help to mentor and provide constructive feedback for interns and consultants
  • Effectively manage competing demands for time
  • Identify resource needs and work with managers to assign individual and group responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and asks the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly.
**Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience of agency, inhouse or journalism experience
  • B.S. degree or higher in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field
  • At least advanced level of English (written and spoken)
**Additional Qualifications

  • Track record of driving corporate communications programs for regional, national and international clients
  • Strong media relations experience, working with regional and toptier national media
  • Applied social media expertise
  • New business development skills (strategy, lead generation, proposal development, etc.)
  • Crisis and issues management experience
