Job Description:
The Project Leader is responsible for managing multiple moderate to high complexity on Product Development Projects with mínimal direction. Individuals in this position will provide project management to assure successful

and timely implementation of projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides leadership over moderate to high complexity on Product Development Projects.
  • Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling
guidelines.

  • Communicates, both verbal and written, to assure all groups are working toward the goal of timely
project completion. Define communication plan. Communicate to Sr Leadership the project status.

  • Identify project risks and implement risk reduction plans.
  • Control project requirements and Change approval process.
  • Drive NPD of project to meet market driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing, reliability, and highvolume manufacturing requirements.
  • Consistently visualizes entire scope of a project with very little guidance.
  • Schedules, develops agendas, facilitates, and documents project meetings.
  • Tracks project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Regularly makes presentations of project status.
  • Does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, although will provide input for performance appraisals for Engineering and cross functional project team members. Also oversees daytoday activities of project team members. Cross functional Interaction
  • Interacts extensively with Marketing, Industrial Design, Operations Management, Material controls, Quality, etc.
  • Interacts extensively with engineering teams as Mechanical, Electric, Motors, Reliability, Laboratory, etc.
  • Ensure proper interaction and communication among all team members.
  • Eliminate roadblocks.
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or relative field. Graduate studies preferred in the business areas such as Project Management, Finance, Marketing, or Organizational studies. Formal project management training preferred.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of project management experience such as New product Development, or New product Introduction.
  • Experience successfully managing moderatehigh complexity projects and/or subsystems of larger projects.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing process associated with components used in power tools.
  • Master in the use of Microsoft Office software.
