Mechanical Design Engineer II
This position is within the Engine Design & Installations team supporting Engine product line from Phoenix Engines. The Mechanical Design team is part of Aerospace Engineering and Technology, Engine & Power Systems (E&PS) organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Component designer for new product development programs related to internals engine design
Support design process including initial estimation of design effort and drawing release milestones
Create models and detailed drawings in NX
Implement Design-to-Cost and Design-for-Manufacturing ideas
Perform concurrent engineering with suppliers
Ensure design meets customer requirements
Document work by preparing engineering reports
Support products in production. Diagnose and address field issues as they relate to mechanical design (drawing interpretation, tolerance stacks, processing drawing changes, etc.)

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Demonstrated experience with CAD tools

Work experience:
at least 2 years in mechanical design
Experience creating component design layouts in a CAD environment (NX preferred)
Experience collaborating in a product data management system (Teamcenter preferred
Experience utilizing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.

Proficient with Microsoft products - Lync, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
