The role of the Senior Product Specialist is to be regionally located as a Product Specialist who in partnership with sales (Olympus Direct Sales & Distributor Channel) will be involved in the market development of UGN Business Units.

The Product Specialist will help support strategic and large-scale evaluations to gain market support of Olympus technologies.

This position combines multiple functional attributes such as sales, marketing, clinical knowledge, product and procedure knowledge, leadership capabilities, and C level communication skills.

Additionally, the position has responsibility for participating with developing & executing the annual business plan and long-term strategic plan for UGN business and in the identification and promotion of opportunities to provide cross-platform marketing opportunities to enhance and strengthen Urology and Gynecology Products position within the market.

Provide constant presence in the OR with existing and new customers.


Job Duties:


  • Serve as the product expert to drive adoption of Urology and Gynecology products.
  • Support strategic and largescale evaluations, strategic and largescale conversions / installations, various Marketing activities & initiatives, field and formal Training events, and product development activities including animal labs.
  • Proactively stay informed of relevant clinical studies, papers and other pertinent information and provides updates to product marketing, when necessary. Help create best practice road maps for Olympus Urology and Gynecology Technologies.
  • Secure business intelligence to provide input and feedback to Marketing for key growth areas through weekly reports, attendance at meetings and market information actively communicating with the Marketing Director, direct and indirect Sales Representatives
  • Maintaining awareness of market position of competitors & market share. Collaborate by understanding customer and competitor's insight within the account and communicate to commercial (Sales and Marketing).

Job Requirements:


  • Education*:_
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, Marketing or equivalent knowledge and experience required.
  • Experience*:_
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in corporate communications, journalism, marketing communications, marketing or related field.
  • Experience with intranets, web, O365, and change management is a plus but not required.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:_
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a strong command of the English language and thoroughly understand developing/editing content for various internal and external audiences and channels.
  • Solid project management, multitasking skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work cross functionally with a collaborative, agile and teamoriented style; and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Good use of time management and ability to shift priorities.
  • Good technical expertise in utilizing and leveraging Office/Microsoft 365 environment, intranets, and similar digital communications tools/channels.
  • Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):_
  • Position may require working occasionally outside of normal business hours. For example, global conference calls, preparing for and attending large meetings and events, and traveling.
