As our Transformational Projects Water & Climate Sr Manager

    _ Main Purpose_
In 2021 PepsiCo set much more aggressive goals.

Climate from 20% up to 75% in Scope 1 & 2, and Scope 3 from 20% to 40% by 2030 and

Net Zero in all scopes by 2040 and in Water to reach best-in-class efficiency performance for water and foods plants, either owned or third-party (Bottlers, Co-mans, JVs, etc.)

Accountable for

identifying, developing and implementing transformational projects across the supply chain that creates substantives changes with an expectation to achieve Pep+ climate change and water goals within a very restricted time horizon. Mostly financed by global pep+ funds and local resources /

$60 MM USD/year.

Accountabilities

  • Research about solutions, including disruptive, inside and outside the fence that help us to achieve our Pep+ climate change and water goals
  • Collaborate actively and create partnership with global team, PepsiCo Labs, other areas and other sectors to identify projects that could be lifted and shifted in LatAm
  • Develop the short and longterm transformational projects strategy, aligned with our glidepath framework, that will allow us to reduce drastically our water and energy usage and climate change emissions across the whole supply chain.
  • Define and integrate the transformational projects to be considered for the annual Pep+ global fund
  • Develop alliances with strategic vendors and other areas to develop transformational projects
  • Ensure the correct development and implementation of transformational projects according to the budget and timeline approved and always seeking to maximize the benefits
  • Calculate the investment and economical savings of each transformational projects that will reduce water and energy consumption, as well as greenhouse gas emissions
  • Establish the project development and implementation strategy in order to guarantee compliance with the objectives established in the PMF Annual Operation Plan.
  • Planning, coordination and installation of equipment, systems and solutions within the plants, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards, guaranteeing the continuity of the operation of the production lines.
  • Review and authorize the scope of work of each project to perform the installation of equipment, systems and solutions and ensure, together with supplies, that the supplier meets the objectives and scope of the original project.
  • Propose, define and authorize steps to follow during the implementation of projects during their execution in the field.
  • Authorize the information to the supply area to generate payments for work progress, which must be validated by the Project Engineer.
  • Supervision and administrative control of the projects, in which all the necessary information is available, such as capex approval, copies of contracts, purchase orders, payments, etc. in order to guarantee that the project is auditable at any time.
  • Ensure the correct documentation and reporting of initiatives for executive and operational reporting
  • Collaborate and influence with other departments and areas to include transformational elements in any PepsiCo projects impacting our water and climate change goals in order to eliminate or at leastmitigate any potential increment.
  • Collaborate and influence with our bottlers, Coman, JVs in order to incorporate any transformational projects that will help to reduce our Scope 3 GHG emissions and water usage.
