This role will be part of a bigger team called Enterprise Data Governance & Shared Platforms, which is a vibrant & highly motivated group that collaborates across different data domains working together towards building governance processes and tools that make our data better while also supporting the business in managing the master data.


The Master Data Analyst role is integral to the company's customer master data hierarchy's management process and responsible for maintaining multiple master data objects while adhering to standard governance to ensure master data is compliant with defined information, policies, and quality requirements.

The role will involve working with the business units, Customer Account Teams, Finance, and various teams supporting Sales to ensure compliance and data integrity regarding accurate customer data alignment and linkage, customer contracts, and sales organization hierarchies.


The Master Data Analyst is responsible for creating and updating hierarchies supporting the day-to-day operations and new business initiatives (i.e., processes to standardize, create, verify, edit, and maintain customer master data for hierarchies).

Integral to the company's data management process and serves as a contributing Subject-Matter Expert and Champion in driving industry and process best practices around Hierarchy management.


What You Will Do for Us:

  • Determine relevant updates based on business feedback and identify possible technical changes and/or opportunities to standardize the process for hierarchy creates and updates.
  • Perform mass uploads and table maintenance as required.
  • Work with management and endusers to create and manage complex data validation, business rules refinement, and internal controls adherence.
  • Purposefully review customer accounts for assignment to the correct hierarchies, which support billing and reimbursement processes, resolve issues directly, and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Review, audit and cleanse customer account data to maintain data integrity as it relates to the customer hierarchy and sales position.
  • Create and maintain documentation on data policies, procedures, and job aids.
  • Respond to internal customer inquiries related to sales accounts or adhoc reporting requests.
  • Responsible and accountable for maintaining the analysis and decisionmaking that facilitates hierarchy completeness and data accuracy.
  • Build a strong partnership with Sales managers, Sales support teams, and other business associates to maintain a deep level of trust and communication.
  • Understand the business processes and systems that leverage hierarchy data
  • Analyze the customer master data hierarchies' inputs provided to create and update the customer hierarchies.
  • Create and maintain all contract customer and sales position hierarchies.
  • Execute the Data Quality Checks and complete required data remediation to ensure the accuracy of the hierarchies.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and/or relevant experience
  • 13 years of handson experience and/or indepth knowledge of hierarchical master data
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • Enterprise data management experience (preference Customer Master Data Domain concepts & processes)
  • CPG or Beverage industry experience
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills, and the ability to work in a fast, agile, and nimble environment with frequent changes

Preferred Qualification:


  • ERP, data manipulation, visualization, and technical knowledge, specifically SAP (R3 & S4), SAP Hana, Mainframe, Salesforce, Alteryx, Informatica Knowledge (IDD) and Microsoft suite proficiency, especially Excel and Power Bi
  • Ability to work with crossfunctional teams
  • Moderate familiarity with database architecture/programming languages (SQL writing, SAS) and understanding of the principles of data management & hierarchy structure
  • Understanding of enterprise parent/child hierarchy relationships
