JOB PURPOSE


This role is based in Mexico and would be responsible to partner UI North America business as part of the UI Americas business ~ €300m (North & Latin Americas) of UI.

The business is likely to see rapid growth through organic and white space activities, and is managed by a cross functional business team, that has dedicated resources in Customer Development, Marketing, Customer Service, Demand Planning and Finance.


The purpose of this role is to provide finance/ commercial business partnering to the business team in the areas of performance management, Customer & Marketing Development, Support Activities and Risk and controls.

This role will also be involved in evaluating new business opportunities and liaison with other UI hubs and Singapore HQ to share and operationalize best practice.


WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Finance Business Partnering

  • Finance Business partner and trusted finance advisor to assist the Finance Head, the Business Development Team across North Americas, to drive performance management, decision support, strategy formulation and strategy into action.
  • Colead and drive Business and Marketing discussions to ensure alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading the monthly forecasting process with strong control and passion for achieving high accuracy.
  • Close interaction with cross functional team providing all the forecast elements with clear understanding of the interrelation of all the items and their effect on the forecasted P&L.
  • Risk and opportunity analysis as well as monthly financial analysis for the actual P&L
  • Prepare the various analysis for Business Review Meetings and LT meetings.
  • Manage month end activities of the geography scope: Monthly trade and marketing Accruals and customer claims review to ensure timely, accurate expense recognition.
  • Colead and drive Pricing Framework for customers in the geographical scope to ensure profitability and growth based on intended market strategy.
  • Colead and drive Quarterly and Monthly Marketing Activity Plan (MAP) process to ensure Efficiency of investments on trade and marketing spends.

Performance Management and Information Management

  • Key owner of Information and Performance Management sharp Performance Management Review Decks and Data Analytics and drive accountability to deliver targets.
  • Owners' mindset to drive growth and profitability.
  • Colead monthly reporting process setup and continuous improvement to ensure timely, transparent, accurate and complete reporting.
  • Actively coordinate with the appropriate Unilever stakeholders to plug or dock UI processes into existing Opco Finance operating framework.

Controllership


Manage and improve financial business processes, and ensure financial records are in-compliance with global financial controls framework and Internal policies, procedures and external/SOX controls requirements.


Technical

  • Accounting Principles.
  • Microsoft expert, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with ERPs, ideally on SAP.
  • Experience working with large databases.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Excellent Communications Skills, with capability to craft the story and present to the esuite executives of the company.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Information Management roles. Ideally, in multinationals in Consumer Goods
  • Experience in one of the Business partnering roles: Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain, Information Management or Category finance lead.
  • Experience in controlling activities.
  • Fully Qualified Accountant preferably with CIMA/CA equivalent.
  • Experience with Matrix Organization and collaborating with colleagues in different time zones.
