WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Our positions in Monterrey are hybrid roles enabling our team to work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.

Our office space in Monterrey was designed to promote collaboration for our scrum teams and increase our development velocity. In addition, you'll enjoy a great view of the city, fresh coffee, and the occasional happy hour.

***: The QuickSight Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for generating reports, dashboards, KPIs, and visualizations using Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Developer, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data and information in the form of comprehensive dashboards. You will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify reporting needs and produce accurate and concise reports leveraging BI tools and techniques.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Collection and Analysis : Collect and analyze data from various sources, includingthe data warehouse, using SQL and DQL queries to identify trends, patterns, and insightsrelevant to the report's purpose.
Planning : Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the objectives, scope, and keymetrics for the report. Understand the target audience and tailor the report accordingly.
Development : Work on implementing proofs of concept using business intelligence anddata visualization technologies and also develop/enhance new or existing dashboards.
Data Visualization : Utilize appropriate data visualization techniques (graphs, charts,tables, etc.) to present complex information in a visually appealing and understandablemanner.
Quality Assurance : Review and proofread reports for errors, consistency, and adherenceto formatting guidelines. Ensure that the information presented is reliable and valid.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, department heads,and clients to understand their reporting requirements and address any questions orconcerns.
Report Maintenance : Monitor and update existing reports to ensure accuracy,relevance, and timeliness. Modify reports as required based on feedback and changingneeds.
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of report specifications,methodologies, and data sources. Keep track of revisions, updates, and version control.
Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Explore opportunities to automate report generation using business intelligence and analytical tools.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, data science or similar isdesirable. A higher degree is a plus.
Proficient in Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, and other businessintelligence platforms.
Indepth understanding of the data lifecycle with handson experience in itsimplementation
Proficiency in a range of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Web Services(AWS) Lambda, Amazon Redshift, etc.
Deep experience in writing complex SQL scripts using PostgreSQL, Oracle, Amazon WebServices (AWS) Redshift or any other relational Databases. Handson experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift will be primary requisite.
Employ strong SQL skills for analysis, validation, and verification of data.
Demonstrated expertise in creating Amazon QuickSight reports, including a nuanced understanding of reporting intervals and backend calculations for all outofthebox reports.
Proven ability to architect solutions and fulfill requests within specified frameworks in atimely manner.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients at variouslevels, gathering requirements, conducting demonstrations, and providing training.
Detailoriented with a commitment to delivering accurate and highquality insights.
Understanding to perform data transformation and analysis.
Ability to create a dataset in Amazon Web Services (AWS) QuickSight and configure detaileddashboards.
