Manufacturing Engineer 2nd shift (Plant mx, Zapopan, Jal)
Amphenol Network Solution's Senior Manufacturing Engineer role is focused on reducing manufacturing costs of the product through engagement in new product implementation and process improvement during the assembly and test of the product.
As a leader within the Operations team, the role interacts with all levels of the organization including Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Production and Quality Assurance and demonstrates a commitment to lean principles and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate and advance manufacturing processes in multiple locations by developing and implementing best practices; must be verified of product design, fixture development, manufacturing/assembly capabilities, equipment, tooling, packaging design, quality control standards, installation requirements, and test processes.
- Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, production, and product management teams to ensure effective transfer of products from design to production, including overseeing operations through production release.
- Leads the development of an efficient manufacturing assembly line, workflows, and detailed work instructions. This includes developing the process flow and manufacturing process and test instructions (MPIs), including test requirements and procedures for new product introduction.
- Establish product quality control standards & process controls during manufacturing of product and implement monitoring procedures.
- Responsible for the validation and qualification of new manufacturing equipment, processes and training required for new product introduction, and making recommendations on opportunities to insource or outsource manufacturing of product lines.
- Good at analyzing problems and implementing the appropriate strategies to improve processes, teamoriented, honest, ethical, and professional.
- Work collaboratively with production personnel to facilitate daily production objectives and continuous improvement.

Suggest material or change processes necessary so that they are aligned with the requirements of the environmental and quality system.
SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of engineering in low volume/high mix manufacturing
- Experience with sheet metal or components in fabrication
- Spoken and written English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Master's degree is a plus not mandatory.
- Specific training based on DNC
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to type and various fine finger manipulation
- Ability to stare at computer screen for prolonged period

- Ability to work in hot and cold environments
