    Logistics Specialist at Bosch: A Key Role in Supply Chain Optimization

    Key Responsibilities

    This role involves being a customer-focused logistics specialist responsible for planning purchased finished goods for Original equipment customers in North America. The ideal candidate will drive delivery to meet customer expectations while maintaining open communication.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Source and release material against blanket purchase orders (Domestic and International Suppliers)
    • Communicate schedule updates with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure timely deliveries
    • Manage inventory levels, schedules, and availability of selected items to meet production levels
    • Collaborate closely with Logistics, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Business Unit Managers to achieve shared goals

    Action Oriented:

    • Develop and provide master schedules to production by line and by product to optimize output
    • Ensure accurate and timely loading of master schedules into SAP, enabling distribution of supplier schedules
    • Maintain finished goods inventory levels within target parameters
    • Set up and maintain system configurations to facilitate changes and adaptability

    Customer Focused:

    • Establish and nurture partnerships with customers to deliver exceptional service
    • Manage customer systems (Covisint, DDL, Smart, Supply Power) to ensure seamless interactions
    • Maintain close relationships with customer material planners and respond promptly to their requests
    • Collaborate with customers to ensure smooth introduction of changes and improvements

    Requirements:

    • Advanced proficiency in ERP (SAP) - desired
    • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Power BI)
    • Basics knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Catalytic)
    • Strong background in procurement planning/production planning/leveling of production
    • Excellent cooperation, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
    • Self-motivated and driven individual

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, General Engineering, or Economics

    Advanced level English language skills; German language skills are desired but optional

    A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar role is highly desirable
