The Engine Group develops air management strategies and products to optimize engines for fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and enhanced performance.

BorgWarner's expertise includes engine timing systems, boosting systems, ignition systems, air and noise management, cooling and controls.

The Drivetrain Group harnesses a legacy of more than 100 years as an industry innovator in transmission and all-wheel drive technology.

The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.


BorgWarner Aftermarket is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Product Engineer at our SLP Plant in Mexico.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Control and management of product information (plans, specifications, tests) Analysis of engineering changes and product deviations
  • Failure analysis
  • Coordinate tests
  • Serve as a key member of the Simultaneous Engineering Group alongside members of product management, sales, purchasing and manufacturing.
  • Responsible for the design, development and production launch of alternator models for programs assigned to the client.
  • Work with Design staff to prepare concepts, designs, and drawings.
  • Work with validation engineers to prepare appropriate accessories and complete testing requirements
  • Work with customers to ensure product meets performance requirements, packaging and serviceability.
  • Actively support purchasing throughout the vendor release process.
  • Work with plant product and manufacturing engineers to ensure product meets manufacturing requirements.
  • Active participant in the Annual Physical Inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Industrial / Mechanical / Electronic / Electrical Engineer
  • Time of experience in a similar position: 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Interpretation of drawings and Knowledge in GD&T
  • Other requirements: Microsoft Office
