Position Summary:
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing Harman's documentation related to the Quality Management System (QMS). Ensures accuracy, quality and integrity of documented information according to internal BMS requirements, customer, IATF 16949 and ISO14001 requirements. The Document Control Specialist is the designated BMS Representative for the Queretaro site. This role supports the company's compliance with record retention policy, safeguards information and retrieves data effectively.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role reports to the Site Lead Internal Auditor.
  • As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee (with equal qualifications).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration of HARMAN Quality Management System (Business Management System)
  • Receives and process DCRs (Document Control Requests) for process document review and change
  • Supporting of the local Process Owners in creating process documentation ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, Customer Specific and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Ensures that the local QMS documentation meets global BMS requirements
  • Responsible for verification, issuance and distribution of the relevant QMS documents that complete correctly the process of control of documents
  • Local BMS Representative, to serve as the contact person between the global BMS Team and the local process experts
  • Responsible for the migration and integration of local processes into BMS, identification of process training needs of employees at the location and consideration of local requirements
  • Support the local Process Experts to execute their process responsibilities
  • Training and support of local employees and Process Owners on document control and control of record procedures
  • Assists with internal and external audits
  • Monitors and reports the performance of the local Document Control process on a monthly basis
  • Identify and record problems related to QMS documentation
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through established communication channels for documentation issues
  • Manage the Control of Records process
  • Control externally received documentation
  • Manage the Control of Documents' archive
