    The ideal Director of Sales & Marketing candidate is accountable for the overall management and is responsible for the Sales direction of One&Only Mandarina in Nayarit, México, ensuring the on-target sales goals achievement acording to Kerzner International.

    The Director of Sales & Marketing duties include, but are not limited to, managing relationships and maximizing commercial opportunities with key trade partners, prospecting new accounts and seeking relationships with like-minded brands outside the travel sector (e.g. retail, fashion, automobile), leading and managing all day-to-day activities related to the sales and marketing function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationship that enable achievement of sales objectives.

    The Director of Sales & Marketing also develops and executes sales and marketing strategies across six strategic pillars:

    We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar sales role within the luxury travel sector.

    The role requires a strong commercial focus with a pro-active and strong drive for results, and financial understanding with excellent knowledge of business acumen.

    coordinates sales staff activities; takes appropriate action to maximize sales and effect need periods.

    The ability to establish group room night and average rate goals based on marketing plan and overall objectivesDirect sales activities of the hotel to achieve budgeted goals.

    Monitor and identify current and future business trends to insure profitable sales in periods of low and high demand.
    Assume the responsibility for leading and directing the hotel's group and individual room sales activity.
    Proactive and creative in developing sales solutions.
    Negotiate and confirm sales.
    Lead by setting the example of utilizing approved methods of handling sales accounts.
    Foster effective communication and work productively with all Worldwide Sales Offices.
    Ensure that the sales staff sells all hotel products.

    Enhance the hotel's community image and stay abreast of the competition, new developments and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry within the city.

    Setting revenue targets for the hotel and setting key performance indicatorsReview sales production and implement sales action plan to achieve the budget goals.

    Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building shorth and long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.

    Presenting sales results to the property Executive and Regional team on a monthly / quarterly and annual basisImplement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.

    Ensure the sales teams has an effective sales training program.
    Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
    Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property's financial room and catering goals.
    Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff members.
    Create a smooth communication with directors of Sales and Marketing.
    Implement an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.
    Implement best practice in sales techniques throughout the department.
