    GENERAL SUMMARY:
    We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented senior cost accountant to join our growing organization. We would like an experienced team member to support the growing needs.

    Morgan will be implementing a new ERP system in 2025 and allowing us to start fresh with new standard costing and new costing function for the organization We are looking for someone who is highly analytical, detail oriented with a drive to see consistent improvement in our dynamic environment.

    The first year will be assisting the organization to develop standard costing to be implemented April 2025.

    This will include recommendations to help meet guidelines, working with finance and operations to develop standards and provide feedback on BOMS and routers.

    Make recommendations to the finance organization on how to transition accounting for costs to better align with standards. Once implemented support the organization to a steady, repeatable reliable process.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Develop, record, and analyze legacy system monthly journals. Analyze and reconcile inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting. Provide relevant comments of the variances and findings, based in a reliable analysis to prepare the monthly report package.

    Owner of the annual physical inventory, carry out the planning, teams' organization, and analysis of the results, as well as perform monthly physical inventories as needed.

    Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting the cost and profitability of products. Calculate Inventory reserve monthly based on aging inventory. Work with operations to develop or better understand metrics and KPIs that influence financial performance. Assists in the annual budgeting process. Assist month-end close of general ledger. Work with outside auditing firm during annual audit. Direct the development and implementation of accounting and operational procedures and processes. Analyze costs of materials, processes, and labor to determine opportunities and methods for reduction of production and inventory costs. Analyze complex data and identify patterns, recommend actions, and measure outcomes. Develop and/or update accounting and operational process and procedures documentation around the inventory management and costing processes. CIP reconciliation and analysis between general ledger and if material compared to original requested amount.


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. Must be bilingual (Spanish / English)5-8+ years of experience Knowledge of inventory control/valuation (e.g., FIFO, LIFO WAC). Knowledge in costing (e.g., Standard costing, Direct Costing, Indirect Costing, etc). Experience in a Maquiladora inventory environment (desirable).

    Strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques Advanced computer skills; Microsoft Excel with working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite programs Expereince in using sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to be able to develop new standard costing based on guidelines provided.

    Proficiency using accounting software in an ERP environment. Possess good organizational skills, work well in fast paced organization. Flexible and able to handle multiple priorities.
