The Sr.

Mobile UX Designer is responsible for understanding Unicity's business requirements as well as being responsible for conceptualizing and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.

The Sr. Mobile UX Designer is expected to lead and deliver multiple projects on time and within scope. Sr.

Mobile UI/UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience.

The Sr. Mobile UX Designer will report directly to the Head of Digital Product, with close collaboration with the Sr. Product Manager and Tech Lead.

What You Need to Get the Job Done
A Sr.

Mobile UX Designer at Unicity is both a strategic and execution-based role that works with a high level of ownership over projects.

We're looking for someone who:

Has at least 6 years of product based UX design experience working on complex desktop, web, and/or mobile software apps
Has a portfolio of work demonstrating a high level of expertise in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping/testing, and visual UI design

You should be confident and ready to discuss the following

Your design skills as demonstrated through an indepth portfolio review of previous, relevant, product design work.
Your ability to collaborate with a team of product managers, designers, and developers
How you are able to keep projects on track and progressing despite setbacks and unforeseen issues
Your experience presenting ideas and designs to coworkers and customers
Your ability to distill and communicate results of user research and demonstrate how it impacts the design
The prioritization skills that let you work on many projects at once while maintaining commitments
How you selfmanage your time and productivity

Responsibilities

Conceptualize and conduct user research, interviews, and surveys. Gather and analyze data to understand user needs
Design navigation flows and prototype new user experiences based on product requirements that are simple and intuitive for iOS and Android mobile platforms (and web)
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experience
Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Identify design problems and devise solutions
Take a usercentered design approach and test and provide feedback to the development team and design team during the development stages
Lead and manage all aspects of projects; collaborate with the Dev team and internal design team, set deadlines, monitor and summarize progress of projects to ensure all deliverables are delivered on time and within scope

Qualifications And Skills

A portfolio that demonstrates your experience leveraging usercentered design
5+ years of experience as a UI/UX or Product Design experience (Graphic Design experience is a plus)
Experience in designing iOS/Android app experiences from start to finish as a product
Strong command of visual design and information architecture with a mind for simplicity and deep knowledge of modern mobile UI/UX patterns while exercising an extraordinary eye for typography, consistency, color, and subtle details
Proficient in software such as FIGMA (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD is a plus)
Experience creating Design Systems.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
Ability to understand business metrics and translate them to goals and objectives into digital experiences
Strong problemsolving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges
Ability to multitask and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to communicate ideas to developers effectively
