Digital Infrastructure Services encompasses all aspects of operating system software, infrastructure software and middleware through maintenance of an effective relationship with various IT vendors and internal / external suppliers and partners.

Digital infrastructure Services is also responsible for the transition of services into the production environment and the ongoing control of those services through effective scheduling, processes and procedures through the use of a group standard framework and group standard tools.


Principal responsibilities

  • To lead the Digital Infrastructure Services Americas team comprises of 5 people with geographic presence in Americas to provide endtoend infrastructure delivery, automation, service management, technology consultancy, vulnerability management and enduser IT support services to WPB Digital business and IT teams in the Americas.
  • To take part in the DIS WPB Technology leadership team representing the infrastructure discipline to actively drive consistency and efficient on work processes across WPB service lines.
  • To stay abreast of technology trends and advise IT and the business about potential benefits or impacts.
  • To actively drive the innovation culture in the infrastructure discipline with a vision of transforming traditional infrastructure engineering discipline towards an efficient, SRE led infrastructure function through adoption of Infrastructure as Code principles and Agile Ways of Working.
  • Collaborate with Service Management Disciplines and Service Management Practice resources to promote Service Management best practice and adoption
  • Responsible for leading and influencing the GB/GF IT Team to meet functional goals in the region, and oversee delivery of the portfolio to time, cost and quality targets
  • A broad understanding and comprehensive appreciation across Infrastructure management process and principles: This profile also encapsulates the responsibilities of the Discipline Lead where more extensive knowledge of a specific discipline(s) and the relevant processes are required
  • Work collaboratively with GB/GF representatives to improve engagement and drive tangible businessaligned improvements & benefits to ensure operationally that the process delivers business value.
  • Strong advocate of Full Stack Infrastructure Engineering with active focus on implementing capability uplift initiatives in the infrastructure disciplines.
  • Accountable for ensuring timely implementation of security vulnerability management across all Americas WPB Digital services to safeguard the critical services against cybersecurity threats.
  • To research and evaluate products in support of the technical strategy. This incorporates software and hardware evaluation together with the production of reasoned reports that can be used in support of business cases for senior management approval.
  • Adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
To provide leadership on problem investigation and recovery in complex situations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior.
