Sr. IT Analyst - MES

What you will do

Who does this position report to?

Sr. Manager IT - Global Products & Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

Be the SME and own the MES footprint in US/CAN region
Overlooking the implementation of MES projects, delivered by our external implementation partners: Installation, configuration, customization, coding (if necessary) master data management, test management, system integration tests, user acceptance tests
Overlooking the life cycle of deployed solutions including change request management, specification, design, and implementation of system changes and enhancements
Create and review testing scripts to ensure accuracy of integration and regression testing effort
Technical project documentation and user training
Work closely with and assisting the IT project managers, using the IT project management methodology
Collaboration with Clarios IT business facing partners and Clarios manufacturing operations business stakeholders (operations, maintenance, quality)
3rd level support

What we look for

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
7+ years relevant shopfloor IT experience either in plant IT or MES project implementation
Proven track of MES implementations in manufacturing industries. Automotive supplier preferred
Advanced experience in software design, software development lifecycle management, and programming languages like Dot.

Net (C#, Visual Basic), Java, ASP.Net

Experience in MS SQL databases including Stored Procedures customization
Experience in creating project documentation and deliverables like statements of work, functional and detailed design specifications, and test plans
Experience in an established system integration firm is recommended

Knowledge and skills

Strong customer service orientation; ability to develop and implement processes
High level of personal motivation and a resultsoriented approach
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Strong oral and written English communication skills, ability to listen carefully and adapt quickly; Speaking Spanish or German would be plus
High degree of professional confidence and credibility; ability to make formal presentations to various target audiences
Acting and behaving open minded and showing strong social skills
Strong planning and prioritization skills
Good knowledge of IT Infrastructure (server and PC)
Good knowledge and experience in project management methodology
Ability to travel to US plants up to 10% of the time
