Job Overview:

The Dimension Control Tech provides solutions to problems in the Dimension Control discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform the following surveys:
Postweld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan and as required by the governing specifications
Preweld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan
Survey of miscellaneous assemblies as required
Continuous level surveys during load out and weighting
Prepare dimensional control reports
Generate an outoftolerance (OOT) report in cases of nonconformance and resurvey the structure after remedial action has taken place
Monitor and update equipment calibration register
Prepare Calibration Certificate
Ensure that the latest drawings and calibrated equipment are used
Use various types of surveymeasuring equipment
Understand and implementation of ITP, codes and specifications
Operate Auto Cad and use calculation programs

Essential Qualifications and Education:

Senior high school graduate, preferred 2 years diploma in Technical Engineering or Civil Engineering
35 years of experience in surveying
Good knowledge of Surveying Instruments
Computer literate: AutoCAD and MS Office packages
