Your role at Clorox:


This position is responsible for people management activities for 2 direct reports who will perform the the monthly and quarterly advertising and US domestic activities within the Mexico Accounting team.

These processes include responsibility for Working and Non-working media accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations and support to main stakeholders such as Marketing and external agencies.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide oversight, coaching and supervision to 2 direct reports.
  • Lead processes to record monthly advertising WM and Non-WM accruals based on actual consumer spend reviewed with the marketing teams and external agencies. Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Identify, follow up and solve reconciling items timely, if any. Ensure US domestic accounting activities are performed within policy and journal entries, reports and analytics are properly reviewed.
  • Ensure monthly and quarterly controls for advertising and select US accounting processes are performed timely and accurately. Ensure control design for covered processes and system implementations are designed properly. Provide support to FRC on the selfassessment cycles and to external auditors on the TOC and substantive PBCs.
  • Provide ongoing support to the SBUs in regards to accounting research needed and to ensure accounting policies are being followed.
  • Perform special project work to support the SBUs and Marketing teams from an accounting standpoint.

What we look for:

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting and finance organization, mix of public accounting and private industry preferred
  • Attention to detail resulting in consistently reliable, accurate and thorough work.
  • Advanced English both spoken and written
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience managing people preferred.
  • SAP, HFM or other ERP systems experience preferred.
