    General Role Purpose

    The LAM and Mexico Chief Operating Officer (LAM COO) organization comprises a set of outcome focused services, owned end to end in 5 countries, including IT, Global Operations, Transformation Services, Procurement, Corporate Services, Data Architecture, CCO and Performance Services.

    LAM DBS Chief of Staff team provide support directly to LAM COO strategy development and dedicated strategic and operational management support for its execution, encompassing functional governance, reporting, and executive content.

    The role is responsible to support LAM DBS Chief of Staff in ensuring that the latter ́s mandatory, legal and regulatory responsibilities, including Senior Management requirements, are fully met and evidenced.

    The role is responsible to produce executive materials for key forums attended or chaired by the LAM COO ( internal senior meetings, suppliers, customers, regulators and other key stakeholders), this may include undertaking secretarial duties, preparing briefing notes, scheduling meetings, managing actions.

    Responsibilities

    ·Support tracking LAM COO commitments across governance forums, including writing and reviewing papers for steering committees, risk forums and other executive committees.

    ·Produce/Review management reports, presentations and papers and provide periodic updates as required.

    ·Track emerging risks and issues, providing reports and recommendations for action, setting proper and fit for purpose meetings, performance & risk regular reviewed indicators.

    ·Plan and organize governance and functional forums for LAM DBS, collate and consolidate meeting materials and share with participants, track actions from governance forums to completion, manage the closure of actions from governance forums including escalations.

    ·Produce executive content and reporting, consolidate and prepare weekly achievements for DCOO; prepare monthly ExCo input (including Board meetings, OpCo, spotlights, etc).

    ·Produce Regional packs preparation (as per periodicity required).

    ·Interface with second line of defense on a variety of issues and workstreams information required to produce executive reporting

    ·Strong knowledge in governance and other business management capabilities, analytical skills.

    ·Comprehension and embedding of governance ways of working.

    ·Ability to crumble complex issues - converting them to simple language, producing executive content

    ·Relationship management, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

    ·Highly motivated and organized self-starter with proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams

    ·Ability to translate data and other information into clear narratives, articulating complex issues concisely and in clear language

    ·Strong English-speaking and writing skills with high attention to detail.

    ·Resilience to work well under pressure, holding flexibility and adaptability to rapidly change priorities over potentially highly restricted, unpredictable and wide ranging tasks.

    ·Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures, and processes
