JOB SUMMARY
To manage and organize logistics department to meet the company objectives and goals.

To interface with the relevant Customs Department, Freight Forwarder and Vendors in order to meet the shipping schedule and target achievement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and write company policies and procedures to comply with Country Customs and other governmental agency requirements for import and export activities.
  • Ensure the import and export activities are monitored and reviewed for accuracy and in compliance with country laws and regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Provide training on country customs requirements and procedures of country import and export activities to all appropriate company departments and personnel.
  • Establish and maintain the level of relationship with country governmental agencies responsible for foreign trade and customs required to communicate the company commitment to compliance with all applicable governmental laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that country governmental agencies responsible for foreign trade and customs are provided with the level of information about the company that they require to perform their functions and formalities.
  • Monitors proposed changes in import and export rules, policies, procedures, regulations and laws and assess the impact for those proposed changes on the Company business.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures reflect any changes in country customs laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Interface with Corporate logistics team to resolve issues associated with shipment out to the respective countries, ensuring best shipmen routing is well executed and to monitor the performance through indicators and metrics.
  • Establish company standards of service providers (freight forwarder, customs brokers, trucking company etc) retained to assist with the supply chain.
  • Manage and coordinate activities and services provided by Company agents to ensure that all documentation and services provided are accurate and maintain the standards required by Company.
  • Delegates and organizes departmental workload according to project assignments and needs.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company's business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Plus 5 years experience, including 2 years experience in supervision.
  • Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
