Cybersecurity Regional Business Manager - Mexico


The Cybersecurity Regional Business Manager - Mexico is a key role within local entity management structures for Cybersecurity in Mexico.

The role reports directly to the Head of Cybersecurity Mexico. Cybersecurity Mexico is a hub for Global Cybersecurity functions servicing all HSBC locations, Businesses and Functions. Currently, Cybersecurity Mexico consists of teams that support the following Cybersecurity functions


Key Duties

  • Coordinating local entity managerial activities, as well as connecting with global cybersecurity function heads to ensure alignment and adequate level of tasks, progress and development
  • Managing the onboarding and offboarding of regional resources, including managing exit interviews for local Cybersecurity colleagues
  • Office management for the department: supplies (paper, chargers, purchase of cables) creation of purchase orders (fusion)
  • Owning the regional business continuity plan
  • Ensuring regional compliance on Conduct Risk and Mandatory Training
  • Contributing to and embedding global Cyber People Initiatives within the region
Requirements

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, global financial services business models, regional compliance regulations and laws
  • Good understanding and knowledge of common industry cyber security frameworks, standards, and methodologies, i

e:
ISO2700x series, EU data security and privacy acts, NIST standards

  • Strong experience managing and leading diverse, highly skilled teams within fastmoving, complex and demanding corporate environments with a need to multitask whilst dealing with ambiguity and change
  • Experience with mentoring, coaching, performance management and talent management best practices.
  • Experience in building and recruiting highly specialized teams; managing departmental budgets; managing governance forums and networks of stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • Experience in dealing with expenses, 3rd parties, vendors, consultancy firms and contractors
  • Ability to translate difficult concepts into simple messages for different types of audiences
  • Experience of working at an operational level in international environments which drive a true international perspective
