Maintenance Engineer - Machine shop & parts warehouse (MRO) Coordinator

WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Toluca Plant you will be Maintenance Engineer - Machine shop & parts warehouse (MRO) Coordinator.


This position is responsible for all coordination duties related directly for inventorying, stocking and issuing parts and supplies in parts warehouse (MRO) as well as coordinate the machine shop activities.

Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient MRO and machine shop. Maintain adherence to the company and departmental policies, procedures and best practices. Generating reports and provides data that supports department decisions.

Maintain the focus in MRO and machine shop to ensure continued availability of parts to keep the equipment up and running while assisting in the continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance program.

Maintain current and accurate records and enter data in the computer system.

Performing analysis of consumption and expenses in MRO issuing reports and creating and monitoring action plans focused on reducing costs of the MRO and machine shop, issuing and displaying the corresponding reports and indicators and implementing improvements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Participate in all the safety programs assigned.
  • To take care to maintain a clean and orderly working space, complying with 5'S procedures and methodology. Promotes activities aimed at maintaining standards of organization, cleanliness and discipline in the workplace.
  • Maintain communication with maintenance personnel regarding topics such as metrics and maintenance expectations, plant policies, safety issues, plant efficiency and Scrap levels, key performance indicators (KPI), continuous improvements, etc.
  • Actively participate to reach the maintenance financial targets; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; suggest corrective actions and implementing improvements.
  • Supervise machine shop and MRO warehouse technicians

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

ARE YOU DRIVEN BY POSSIBILITY?

ABOUT YOU

  • 57 years working experience as a machine shop &/or MRO coordinator or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electro Mechanical / Electronic or Electrical Engineer
  • Intermediate English language level: reading, writing and talking.
  • Medium and Low Voltage circuits knowledge desirable.
  • Electrical control systems knowledge desirable.
  • Hydraulic systems knowledge desirable.
  • Mechanical systems knowledge desirable.
  • Pneumatic systems knowledge desirable
  • Automation equipment knowledge desirable. (Allen Bradley PLC, sensoric, vision systems, safety devices, etc.)
  • Preventative Maintenance experience.
  • Advanced understanding of CMMS systems.
