    Purpose Statement:

    Provides support to all AMER manufacturing sites through the centralized Shared Services team.

    Responsible for the effective execution of the assigned Finance/ Accounting centralized process, goods and services in accordance with the quality, delivery and expectations to meet department/company objectives

    Key Job Accountabilities:

    • Prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances (as many as needed).
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements.
    • Develop and execute reporting for site to use in the assessment of customer, factory, site or regional financial performance. Prepare reports in user-friendly formats to aid in decision-making and analysis of parts contribution and other material analysis.
    • Provide pricing support (BOM download and common component cost entry, entering valid assembly pricing and maintain component cost fields in ERP system) for effective and efficient production assembly pricing.
    • Purchase price variance approval and revision in partnership with procurement and finance teams.
    • Continuous Improvement - Work on special project as requested to resolve problem or productivity improvement.

    Additional Accountabilities:

    • Identify, recommend, and develop process improvements needed to create a Lean culture within Shared Services and its customers.
    • Assist with the preparation of audit requirements.
    • Run reports and maintain spreadsheets for Finance Department as needed.
    • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (<1%).

    Education/Experience Qualifications:

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance or business administration related is preferred.
    • 0 – 2 years of related experience is required.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Transaction processing skills on computerized accounting system (JDE training provided inhousein-house).
    • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication is necessary (English and Spanish).
    • Attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines are crucial for employee to successfully perform in this position.
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn additional software packages.
    • Must be able to interact with employees on all levels.
    • Strong Problem solving skills.

    Work Environment:

    • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
