Your Job:


As Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of new and existing High Performance Cable Assembly Products from concept through product release by personally designing and leading the project to exceed product performance, collaborating with management, cross functional teams, global share manufacturing locations and customers as require.

You will report to USA and have some communication with peers in China and Philippines.

What You Will Do:


  • Lead development efforts in new connectors, terminals, crimp and cable assemblies for highspeed data transmission used in autonomous vehicles and automotive infotainment systems.
  • Perform gap analysis for BOM and test per customer requirements and automotive test specifications (e.g. USCAR, GMW, FCA, IEC, LV214, ISO, Ford, EIA, etc.) against Molex's product requirements and conduct crossfunctional risk assessment (e.g. DFMEA, DRBFM, etc.) to develop and execute on a project.
  • Create validation test plans, overseeing test execution, report documentation and presenting results to the customer and Molex product development team.
  • Lead failure analysis studies to resolve test failures and implement systemic corrective actions.
  • Analyze customer requirements and identify, assess, notify, and develop risk mitigation plan.
  • Prepare and follow engineering change requests (ECR) per document control procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):


  • Experience of connector/cable assembly OR components design.
  • Working knowledge of tolerance studies and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Knowledge of cable assembly validation process definition and results verification (DVP&R).
  • Working knowledge of design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA).
  • Problem solving skills using systematic tools (8D, fishbone, cause/effect diagrams, DFMEA).

What Will Put You Ahead:


  • CAD skills (2D and 3D).
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of (SI) Signal Integrity Performance for High-Speed Cable Assemblies.
