Job Description:
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing processes and test equipment.
- Develop software for PLCs and HMIs.
- Debug software and systems, including PLC, automation, and control.
- Create preventive maintenance routines for machinery and tools.
- Design and integrate reliable and robust hardware, software, electrical systems, and communication systems for the manufacturing area.
- Deliver training on assigned processes to the service group and other engineers.
- Definition, acquisition, and registration of spare parts for their assigned equipment.
- Provide technical support during production events.
- Ensure safety and compliance in manufacturing processes.
- New machinery definition, acquisition, installation, validation, and liberation.
- Support the launch of new products.
- Define and implement measures for process improvement, such as cycle time, uptime, and quality.
- Actively participate in international multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop semiautomated processes in an automotive electronic environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Bilingual English & Spanish; German is a plus.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCE
- Over 3 years of experience in test engineering.
- Strong leadership, proactive, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in analog and digital electronics.
- Specialization in electronics with a focus on communications.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical diagrams.
- Familiar with diagnostic equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
- Knowledge of Linux is desirable.
- Experience in creating electrical test programs.
- Experience in microcontroller programming processes.
- Analysis and interpretation skills for electrical, SW, and HW failures.
- Experience in conducting capability studies and MSA.
- Experience with data matrix or barcode reading systems.
- Experience in vision systems.
- Experience with LabView is a plus.
- Experience in structured programming languages, including PLCs.
- Database management skills.
- Strong problemsolving abilities.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
