    About the Role:

    The Fixed Asset Analyst, located at the Mission Hills plant reporting to Fixed Asset Analyst, will be the finance business partner to support GSC in the Fixed Asset Management inventory process and reconciliation for Mission Hills and CP Mexico. Responsible for ensuring procedures and controls in place are aligned to our CFPs that ensure a reliable Fixed Asset Register, the proper accounting records and protection of the company's assets.

    What you will do:

    Fixed Assets Inventory:

  • Collaboratively work with Engineering and the Focus Factories in improvement of the processes related to Fixed Assets counts.
  • Ensure the identification (Tag Number) and location of assets vs the master data in SAP.
  • Physical audit of fixed assets located in productive areas and general service based on internal controls.
  • Coordinate meetings with internal teams involved in the Fixed Asset Reconciliation Inventory.
  • Analysis of accounting reconciliations vs physical inventories of fixed assets based on financial policies and methodology applied by CP.
  • Give traceability to assets with life cycle analysis in SAP: acquisitions / changes / dispositions.
  • Provide periodic updates to the local plant fixed asset management team on inventory reconciliations for assets located, reconciled, not found, suggested for disposal or write off.
  • Idle assets: Identify and reconcile idle assets, validate the disposal and physical destruction processes.
  • With collaborative work, assist and provide internal control guidelines to the areas responsible for the management and disposal of fixed assets.
  • Work as a team on improvements to internal controls for fixed assets in order to eliminate audit findings
  • What do you need for the position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance or Engineering
  • At least 1 year of related experience in Costs, Accounting, Fixed Assets, Engineering, or Inventory
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating in projects
  • Relevant systems knowledge (MS Excel, Google Suite)
  • Excel Intermediate Level
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate English level

  • Fixed Asset management experience a plus
