**Your Role & Responsibilities**:

Manage and coordinate activities across business units for a commodity group, including metals/polymers, electrical & electronics, and raw materials. This involves managing suppliers in escalation cases related to capacity, finances, quantities, delivery dates, quality, and general bottlenecks for global suppliers within a region.

Negotiate solutions with suppliers, including countermeasures for issues, cost responsibility, and solutions to quality cases and bottlenecks. Manage internal bottlenecks, including selecting and approving alternative suppliers. Coordinate these activities as a project manager with engineering, purchasing, production, and sales teams.

Support the implementation of standards, methods, tools, and processes within the region. Manage bottlenecks, including relocation in case of supplier insolvency. Oversee supply chain disruption response, transport disruptions (supply/demand coordination globally, allocation), and escalation management.

Design and implement performance management via key performance indicators (KPIs) such as capacity spend for indirect functions, costs for external service providers, benchmarking, and tracking targets. Develop KPIs for supplier scorecards, track supplier performance, and initiate cross-functional supplier development measures with internal departments where necessary.

Ensure the implementation of the following across business units for commodities metals/polymers, electrical & electronics (E/E), and raw materials: track and manage supply delivery performance, develop suppliers, claim management of logistic service providers, review fulfillment of logistics requirements at suppliers, and conduct regional management recommendations regarding supplier nomination.

**Key Skills and Strengths**:

- Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent related experience

- Bilingual English/Spanish 100%

- Inventory management experience is required

- Advanced experience with SAP warehouse management (WM) and materials management (MM) modules is required

- Automotive industry supply chain experience is preferred

- Strong understanding of Purchasing Principles

- Ability to identify and solve problems, work within deadlines with high attention to detail, and work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment

- Strong business acumen and ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with colleagues, senior-level management, executives, vendors, and suppliers
