    Health and Benefits Analyst Role

    Key Responsibilities

    • Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with clients by effectively addressing questions and needs.
    • Client Meeting Support: Prepare agendas and materials, coordinate resources, etc.
    • Program Vendor Procurement: Support program vendor procurement and implementation.
    • Benefit Enrollment Support: Provide benefit enrollment support, including preparing materials and presentations, verifying policy and plan information, and updating internal systems as necessary.
    • Reporting and Administration: Contribute to completion of reports and administrative actions for clients, including Form 5500 filings, policy checking and delivery, monthly reporting of client and carrier information, summary plan descriptions and certificates.
    • Benchmarking and Research: Support benchmarking and other research engagements; provide value-added analyses and summaries.
    • Vendor Analysis: Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's degree or up to 2 years' experience working in professional services.
    • Organizational Skills: Well organized and detail oriented; ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
    • Communication Skills: Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
    • Self-Management: Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
    • Technical Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Licensure: State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
    • Professional Certification: Pursuit of professional certification (CEBS, GBA, SPHR, etc.), or health and welfare actuarial/underwriting training encouraged.
