Main Responsibilities:


  • Provide clear and timely communication to management and crossfunctional teams for active supplier quality issues in the operation.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) process on the shop floor improving and implementing departmental Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Delivery, Ergonomic and Cost reduction projects.
  • Investigates unit supplier quality related issues and concerns related to product and processes, gathers and analyzes data, resolves/facilitates resolution and supports corrective action implementation.
  • Investigates supplier quality problems, initiate root cause for quality problems, gathers and analyzes data and implements corrective action to reduce or eliminate nonvalue waste resulting from supplier nonconformances, scrap or claims.
  • Leader in identifying, communicating and resolving supplier quality problems. Drives containment actions.

What Skills You Need:


  • Fluent English required.
  • Experience with problem management with suppliers.
  • Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style.
  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
  • Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.
  • Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.

What Makes You Stand Out:


  • Knowledge of SAE/AISI Steel Grades, Properties and Specifications.
  • Supplier Audits certification.

Education:


  • Bachelor ́s Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
  • University Degree
