MAIN OBJECTIVE:

Manages assigned categories to ensure that Rich's requirements for delivery, quality, cost and safety, are met and that Rich's Values are maintained throughout the supply base with guidance.

Assess, manage, mitigate, and avoid risk for assigned category of packaging.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assists the Category Manager to drive value, cost savings, and joint process improvement initiatives for assigned categories.
  • Develops and Negotiates with Logistics Services Suppliers in Mexico.
  • Assists the Category Manager to coordinate joint SLAs with suppliers for assigned categories.
  • Completes various financial reporting tasks such as volume and pricing analyses, market reporting, contract balance analysis, spend by supplier reporting, quarterly cost standard updates, variance reporting, interpretation of financial information, etc.
  • Utilizing key supplier metrics, manages consistent service levels from suppliers and engages enduse associates to develop and manage action plans to address issues; provides daily management of suppliers including order management, forecasting, pricing, invoicing, inventory levels, and periodic supplier reviews and visits.
  • Actively works to identify and implement cost savings opportunities including resistance to pricing pressures, joint process improvements, and innovative supplier improvement ideas.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineer or related field.

Minimum 3 years in job related experience and must management and strong knowledge of packaging category in Food Industry, deep knowledge about corrugated, plastics and impressions

  • Be a demonstrated expert on market conditions related to assigned categories, as well as the key macroeconomic influences that drive market price fluctuations.
  • High negotiation and communication skills.
  • Advanced English
